Getting to Know FileMaker Pro
You should have basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets, but you do not need any database or FileMaker Pro knowledge or skills. If you do have experience with databases, this seminar will fill in any gaps in your knowledge and give you the opportunity to ask questions.
You could have a project in mind that you would like to start developing after the seminar. During the breaks you can discuss your plans and even exchange your experiences with other participants.
This seminar is an ideal basis for understanding FileMaker databases to enable you to better define your requirements when working with a database developer. You will gain a better understanding of how databases store and manipulate data.
Bring Your Own Computer
While no computers are provided, you are welcome to bring along a laptop and follow some of the exercises. You will be provided with seminar notes that you can add to during the day. There will also be downloads available after the seminar to practice and reinforce your new skills.
